Oradell Family Dental uses the most advanced dental technology for all of our treatments and procedures. We are committed to providing you with the best quality dental services available, and we understand that using the most advanced technology is crucial to our ability to deliver the quality treatments you deserve.
Our Dental Technology
At Oradell Family Dental, we have invested in dental technology specifically designed to help us view your mouth thoroughly and address issues that may not be visible on the surface. Some of these advanced dental tools include:
- Digital radiographs (X-rays) – Traditional X-rays use higher levels of radiation and require time for the film to be developed before it can be examined. But digital radiographs enable us to view your dental X-rays as soon as they have been taken. They also use lower levels of radiation, making them safer and more effective.
- Intraoral cameras – Have you ever wondered just what your dentist was doing in your mouth and wished you could see the process to better understand it? We use intraoral cameras to allow you to watch the procedure on screen as it is happening. This is a valuable tool for patient education, and it allows you to be confident that your procedure is being performed properly.
- Patient education systems – Patient education is one of our most valued services, and we strive to make sure that you thoroughly understand each procedure you will undergo before we begin treatment. Our interactive patient education systems allow you to learn about your procedures so that you can ask important questions before agreeing on a treatment regimen.
- VELscope Vx – The VELscope Vx is the most powerful tool available for assisting in the discovery of oral abnormalities. The VELscope's distinctive blue-spectrum light causes the soft tissues of the mouth to naturally fluoresce. Healthy tissues fluoresce in distinctive patterns — patterns that are visibly disrupted by trauma or disease. Using the VELscope, a wide variety of oral abnormalities can be discovered — often before they're visible to the unassisted eye.
Advanced dental technology cannot replace the experience and passion of a dentist who has undergone intensive study to provide excellent diagnostics and care to his patients. But advanced dental technology can assist a dentist who is passionate about whole mouth health in finding and caring for small dental issues before they become big dental problems.
