Caring for Dental Implants

As with your natural teeth, the best way to care for your dental implants is through a proper oral hygiene routine. This should include:

• Using a soft-bristled toothbrush and fluoride toothpaste to brush the teeth after every meal
• Flossing in between every tooth twice a day
• Avoiding sugary snacks and beverages
• Not smoking
• Visiting our office for biannual cleanings

It is important that you brush at least twice daily, but more often is best. It is equally important that you protect your teeth and gums in between brushing by reducing your intake of sugary foods and beverages and avoiding tobacco.
